The glorious, golden season of fall is upon us, and we are all about trees in The Living Room today! By the time we say good-bye, I hope you're bursting with new information and enthusiasm about the precious forest of trees that thrive here on the Oklahoma prairie. We'll also throw in a mix of tree history, maybe a few old wives tales, some great tree planting and care tips, when and where to look for autumn color this year, and who knows what else.
We'll get started with my favorite Oklahoma tree guru! Mark Bays is an expert on Oklahoma trees. As the urban forestry coordinator for the Oklahoma Forest Service, Mark is our answer man, and he has some pretty interesting stories up his sleeve as well. LISTEN NOW
We end our show with a couple of people who are behind organizations dedicated to enriching Oklahoma one tree at a time. Nicki Largent leads the Tree Bank Foundation based in Oklahoma City and Steve Grantham hangs his Executive Director hat at "Up with Trees" in Tulsa. LISTEN NOW
