June 2014

Our program has been airing on KOSU for nearly three years – and we are very happy to finally be able to say that our program is now also being recorded at the KOSU studios on Film Row in downtown Oklahoma City. KOSU has big plans for growth as they actively seek ways to engage the community and we’re proud to be part of that engagement. It's only fitting that our first guest on our “first show” at the new state-of-the-art facility is KOSU director, Kelly BurleyLISTEN NOW

Who doesn’t enjoy wonderful food? And who isn't interested in how it is produced and prepared? The farm-to-table movement is exploding and our three guests shared their passion and unique perspectives about how to get the most out of nature’s bounty - and how it enriches consumers and the sense of community. Heather Kay is interim director of the OSU-OKC Farmer’s Market; Jonathon Stranger is chef and co-owner of Ludivine Restaurant in downtown Oklahoma City; and Matt Burch is the founder of the Urban Agrarian.  LISTEN NOW

As author and journalist, Michael Pollan, once said: “The shared meal elevates eating from a mechanical process of fueling the body to a ritual of family and community.” Enjoy the ritual and your community - and support the local farmers who produce a wide variety of foods right here in our own backyard. Until next time – as Julia Child would say: bon appetit!
